Wedding Reception at St. George's Episcopal Church

Lisa Monique Westman and James Ross McDonald were married February 20, 2011 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Schenectady, NY where James is the rector. The wedding reception was held at St. George's Episcopal Church in the same city.

Upon entering the reception, we were greeted by two young ladies with glasses of punch. Nearby, we picked up a card which indicated the number of the table at which we would sit. Beside those cards was a basket full of bookmarks brought from Australia. They were created by Margaret Tilden, elementary school teacher in that country and pen pal of Lisa for about 12 years. She had taken many photographs in her own country, then cut narrow strips from them in the shape of a bookmark. These were laminated and each had a ribbon attached that said "Aussie". A note was stamped on the back of the book mark which said, "From our home and hearts to yours." This was a very thoughtful gift from the photographer from "down under".

From the entranceway, we proceeded into a room that had an elegant display of delicious foods. Music in that room was provided by a gentleman who played a hammered dulcimer and the bagpipes.
